Mother Nature ain’t helping

By sonicrick78

I sleep facing the window in my bedroom, because I would like to rely on the sunlight to wake me up in the morning should the alarm rings fail to rouse me.

I didn’t intend it for lightnings in a stormy night to keep flashing me back into consciousness when I really needed a sleep past midnight … lousy curtains ….

    Somehow I miss my old house where my bed was right next to the window, and I would open the window on raining nights and fall asleep listening to pitter-patter of the rain (stormy nights usually put me to sleep faster);

    and wake up to the shrill sounds of my mother discovering my rain-drench room and bed.

    Happy childhood memories.
